What is a GI Plain Sheet?

GI Plain Sheet refers to a galvanized iron sheet with a flat and smooth surface. It is made by coating a layer of zinc on the steel sheet through the galvanizing process, and has excellent corrosion resistance and durability.
It is widely used in construction, manufacturing, and other industries due to its ease of welding, forming, and processing.

Applications of different thicknesses

Generally, the thickness of galvanized sheets is defined as two thickness ranges. Conventional thickness: 0.3mm -2.0mm. Special thickness: 0.1 mm- 0.3 mm, 2.0 mm- 4.0 mm.

1) 0.15, 0.20, 0.25mm thickness: Lightweight packaging/electronic appliances: battery housing, cable shielding, protective cover for small electronic components.

2) 0.4, 0.5, 0.6mm thickness: Home appliance manufacturing/decoration materials: air conditioning panels, lampshades, advertising sign substrates, ceilings.

3) 0.8, 1.0, 1.2mm thickness: Building enclosure/furniture: roof bottom layer, light steel keel, filing cabinets, shelves.

4) 1.5, 2.0, 2.5mm thickness: Industrial equipment/structural parts: truck tool boxes, industrial platforms, storage shelf columns.
